IMPORT & KEEP YOUR PLACE
Start with your
TikTok export.
A few steps in TikTok. Then your old saves, ready to rediscover.
Request JSON in TikTok
Profile → ☰ → Settings and privacy → Account → Download your data. Choose JSON. Include the category containing Favourite Videos; if unsure, choose all data. Include your full history if a date range is offered.
Which information should I select?
Menu and category names vary by region and version. Favorites with video links are enough; save dates enable oldest-first ordering. Likes are optional. If the selection is unclear, use all data. A smaller file may be easier to import, but faster preparation is not guaranteed.
Return when TikTok notifies you
You can leave while TikTok prepares it, which may take a few days. Bookmark this guide, or use Keep this link on the homepage, to return with your file. A ready download is available for up to four days; some recent data may be missing for 24–48 hours.
Download, then import here
Save the ZIP or JSON to Files or Downloads on your device. Open this site in Safari or Chrome, tap Import my saves and select the file. You can import the ZIP directly, or extract its TikTok JSON. On iPhone, look in Files → Downloads; on Android, Files → Downloads; on a computer, your Downloads folder. If the ZIP download is incomplete, download it again from TikTok. Files must be under 64 MB; each collection supports up to 250,000 saves.
Choose the memory you want
Import opens your gallery. Tap Start from oldest to watch your selected collection from the beginning, or choose a specific video. Swipe to keep watching; use the edges or Next if TikTok captures your swipe. Browse options help you find a month or year. These are dates you saved or liked the videos, rather than dates creators posted them.
Keep your place
Continue watching remembers your last successfully played video, starting from the beginning in this browser. A new export can be added with Your library → Add a newer export: existing saves and your reading position stay. A video absent from a newer export is kept here; absence does not prove it was deleted.
Your library → Backup & restore → Download backup creates a free, portable JSON containing your save links, dates and reading position. On a fresh browser, use Restore a backup below Import my saves. In an existing collection, use Your library → Backup & restore → Restore backup. Restoring replaces that collection after confirmation. To combine a backup with existing saves while keeping your current reading position, select it through Add a newer export. Keep that file private. It contains links, not video files; it cannot recover deleted or private videos.
If your file doesn’t import
Make sure TikTok prepared a JSON export with likes or favourites. A text-only export needs to be requested again as JSON. If a ZIP is too large, extract the relevant JSON and try that. If import stops, your previous collection is kept; you can cancel while the file is being read.
What stays on your device?
Your export is read locally. This tool discards unrelated account sections and stores your saved-video collection in this browser. Individual video links go to the preview service and TikTok; thumbnails and playback connect to TikTok. Hosting may process request logs. Browser data can be cleared or evicted, so keep your original export or a backup.
No TikTok password is needed. This release has no payment gate, advertising scripts or analytics scripts. It is an independent tool, unaffiliated with TikTok.
